Paul’s leadership of the Developer Infrastructure Workgroup has been transformative for the RISC-V ecosystem. Under his guidance, the Build Farm has become a powerhouse of productivity, utilizing 22 cloud VMs to deliver millions of tests and thousands of builds monthly. Paul hasn’t just maintained the status quo, he has actively improved it by introducing server utilization dashboards and system images for developer tooling. In addition to serving as RISE TSC Co-Chair, Ludovic has shown exceptional leadership in bootstrapping the RISE AI/ML Workgroup, turning early obstacles into significant milestones for the RISC-V ecosystem. When faced with the dual challenges of limited upstream engagement and hardware CI bottlenecks, Ludovic spearheaded a targeted outreach strategy that changed the game. By facilitating high-impact presentations at PyTorch Day in Beijing and establishing direct lines of communication with maintainers, he secured a landmark RVV-related pull request in the official PyTorch repository. His ability to navigate complex community dynamics while overseeing the optimization of PyTorch ATen operators and llama.cpp has established a vital blueprint for all future RVV development.
