The RISE Outsized Impact Award is designed to recognize and celebrate individual contributors who have made exceptional, high-impact contributions to the RISE (RISC-V Software Ecosystem) project. This award aims to acknowledge those who go above and beyond to accelerate the development and readiness of open-source software for the RISC-V architecture.

Jen Li, Meta

Outreach leadership and exemplary event execution

Jen is a powerhouse of the Outreach Committee. She has successfully scaled RISE presence through numerous global events, managed resources with precision, and built the creative content needed to grow our developer ecosystem. More than just her technical skill, Jen is a phenomenal teammate and a true champion for the RISE-V Ecosystem. RISE is a stronger, more engaged organization because of Jen’s hard work and dedication. Thank you for your leadership!

Paul Walmsley, SiFive

Leadership of the Developer Infra Workgroup & Build Farm

Paul’s leadership of the Developer Infrastructure Workgroup has been transformative for the RISC-V ecosystem. Under his guidance, the Build Farm has become a powerhouse of productivity, utilizing 22 cloud VMs to deliver millions of tests and thousands of builds monthly. Paul hasn’t just maintained the status quo, he has actively improved it by introducing server utilization dashboards and system images for developer tooling. His foresight in pivoting toward the Board Farm expansion ensures that our infrastructure will continue to scale alongside our ambitions. Thank you for your help and supporting RISE!

Ludovic Henry, Meta

Founding & Leadership of AI & ML Workgroup

In addition to serving as RISE TSC Co-Chair, Ludovic has shown exceptional leadership in bootstrapping the RISE AI/ML Workgroup, turning early obstacles into significant milestones for the RISC-V ecosystem. When faced with the dual challenges of limited upstream engagement and hardware CI bottlenecks, Ludovic spearheaded a targeted outreach strategy that changed the game. By facilitating high-impact presentations at PyTorch Day in Beijing and establishing direct lines of communication with maintainers, he secured a landmark RVV-related pull request in the official PyTorch repository. His ability to navigate complex community dynamics while overseeing the optimization of PyTorch ATen operators and llama.cpp has established a vital blueprint for all future RVV development. Thank you for your leadership!
